The Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre (SEAC) at the London School of Economics
Since August 2023, I have been serving as the Director of the Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre (SEAC) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It has been an enormous pleasure and a great privilege to serve in this role, given my longstanding and wide-ranging interest in Southeast Asia and the excellent set of colleagues working on the region at the LSE. As Director, I have been working to promote and protect the Centre as a hub for Southeast Asia Studies in the UK and in Europe, through regular public lectures and book launches, workshops, through support for research on the region by LSE staff and students, and through public outreach via our events, our blog series, and our new podcast series, ‘Dialogues on Southeast Asia’, which is available on various podcast platforms via the New Books Network.
